The Best Zoro Moments (Spoilers)
The King of Hell and the Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro is the second member of the Straw Hat Pirates and the first to join. He carried three swords, boasts incredible strength, endurance, and durability as well as great swordsmanship skills. His goal is to become the best swordsman in the world. He often fights in tight confrontations with strong opponents while displaying his remarkable swordsmanship abilities. He pushes himself to the utmost and works tirelessly to fulfil his dream. Zoro's loyalty and dedication makes him the perfect candidate to be the future King of Pirates Right hand man. Throughout the series he has many best moments and here are some of them:
Defeat against Mihawk
Zoro got his first taste of what the world's toughest characters are really like during his battle with Mihawk. Zoro crossed swords and realized right once that he was no match for the man who claimed to be the strongest, yet he didn't back down. This was mainly because of his ambition to be the best and also because of a promise that he made to his best friend (Kuina) and Captain. Despite his Defeat, Zoro impressed both Mihawk and the audience with his dedication and passion.
Stops Luffy from retrieving Usopp
The night before the crew is about to leave Water 7 in the Post Enies lobby arc, Luffy discovers that Usopp wants to rejoin and plans to bring him back into the crew personally. Usopp abandoned the Straw Hats in the previous arc after a disagreement with his captain Luffy regarding the condition of their ship, The Going Merry, at the time. They even had a duel over this matter in which Luffy won, however even after the dual Usopp was present throughout the Enies Lobby arc as Sogeking. Initially Luffy is eager to bring Luffy back but Zoro speaks up with an Objection. Zoro claims that Usopp should at the very least offer an apology before making a comeback. Usopp shouldn't have been welcomed back so readily after the duel, according to Zoro, and the outcome must be respected. He insists that doing so would be an insult to Luffy's authority as captain and that if Luffy allows himself to be treated in that manner, he will resign. Usopp needs to learn a lesson about not giving up so quickly, he argues, and they need to stop treating being pirates like a game.
Zoro vs King
In the Wano arc which is the current running arc in the anime The Straw Hats, The Heart Pirates and The Kid Pirates along with many samurais have raided Onigashima which is the base for the Beast Pirates. As the arc approaches the end we see each of the monster trio face off with the heavy hitters of the Animal Kingdom pirates. While Luffy faces Kaido and Sanji faces Queen, Zoro faces King who is the right hand man of Kaido the captain of the Beast Pirates. King has the Ryuo Ryuo no Mi Model: Pteranodon devil fruit which gives him to ability to turn to a pteranodon, he is also the crews Swordman and is even a Lunarian which makes him biologically stronger than many. In the most recent episode we see Zoro face King with his full might and take on the second in command of the beast pirates. This fight is one of the best fights in the anime and it even shows Zoro Ambition to his Goal and his Ambition for his Captain.
Nothing Happened
After defeating Gecko Moria in the Thriller Bark arc , the Straw Hats celebration is soon interrupted by former warlord Kuma who creates a massive explosion knocking everyone out. Kuma then goes for Luffy but is stopped by Zoro who is the only one conscious after the explosion. Kuma then offers him a deal stating that he should take all of Luffys Pain, only then will he leave the Straw Hat Pirates. Zoro without a second thought agrees and takes all of Luffys pain which ends up almost killing Zoro. Initially right after the explosion Sanji tries taking Zoros place to sacrifice himself but was knocked out by Zoro to save him. Later after everyone wakes up, Sanji finds Zoro standing still covered in blood and when asked What had happened here, Zoro gives a simple reply "Nothing Happened".
