The Best Jinbe Moments Till Now (Spoilers)

 

A pirate-hating pirate known for his honor, goodness, selflessness and strength, Jinbe is a blue whale shark fisherman also known as "The First Son of the Sea," , a former warlord and now the helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates. He was first introduced to us during the Impel Down arc where Luffy tries to rescue his brother "fire fist" Ace who was captured and imprisoned in Impel Down. Throughout the story from that point onwards we see and learn more things about him. Here are some of the best Jinbe moments in the story.

Marineford

The utterly insane war known as The Battle of Marineford was fought to prevent "Fire Fist" Ace from being put to death. It included the Whitebeard pirates and their allies against the entire Marine Headquarters including the Warlords. Now, in this war there were quite a a lot of MVPs and Jinbe definitely was one of them. Jinbe went face to face with multiple warlords and high ranked Marines to rescue Ace while also protecting Luffy along the entire way, he even manages to get Luffy out of Marineford which is why Luffy is still alive. In all of this we get to learn a lot about his capabilities like his ability to communicate with marine life and Fish man Karate. Throughout the arc we also get to see things like his loyalty and determination towards keeping Luffy safe and saving Ace. Jinbe was definitely one of the few that stood out the most during the war.

Was There for Luffy at his worst

In my opinion Jinbe doesn't get much credit for this moment. Right after the Marineford war when Luffy finally gains consciousness and realises that his brother Ace was killed, he goes into an all out rampage as he's not able to fully accept his brothers fate. With the Straw Hat crew all separated and with no way to communicate, Luffy had no one at this point which could be considered as his lowest point. However, this is where Jinbe(very injured) steps up and brings an end to Luffys rampage by making him accept his brothers fate, he tells him that he can't get what he's lost and also reminds him that he still has his nakama (friends) that he deeply cares about. This finally calms Luffy who ultimately accepts the result of the war. From this we get to see a lot about Jinbes character and the way he always puts the ones he cares about before him.

Donates his Blood to Luffy

When the Final Act in the Fishman Island arc almost ends, Luffy ends up losing quite a lot of blood and losses consciousness. Nobody from the crew had his blood type for a blood transfusion and even the fishman who might have had his blood type were relunctant for a transfusion as it was forbidden in the island cause of the very bad history between humans and fishman. Jinbe who has the same blood type as Luffy steps up for a blood transfusion to save him from excess blood loss. This moment is one of the most important moments of the Fishman Island arc as Jinbe doing this even sends a message to all fishman and humans present there, a message that the late Queen of the island tried to make everyone understand and a message that his former Captain Fisher Tiger tried to make Humans on the surface understand. The whole arc built up to this moment. 

Stands up to Big Mom

Before joining the Straw Hats Jinbe informs Big Mom(One of the four Emperors of the Sea) that he wants to leave her crew and wants to join the Straw Hats, but this was not something that Big Mom would accept so she tries to steal his life force/soul by using the "Stay or Life" deal, anyone whose under this, shows even a little fear towards big mom would end up losing their soul to Big Mom. Almost no one survives this. But Jinbe stands there in front of her and her crew unfazed, he shows no signs of fear. With Everyone shocked and questioning how he's unfazed, he says "I'm a man who wants to be part of the future Pirate Kings crew, I can't be intimidated by a mere Emperor of the Sea" making it one of the most GOATED moments in the anime.
