Reasons to watch One Piece
From the brilliant mind of Eiichiro Oda we get a world where wealth, fame, power and everything that the world has to offer was attained by Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates. His final words at his execution drove countless people out to sea, in search of the great treasure that he left behind, the One Piece. He had started a Great Pirate Era. That was just the introduction, are you still confused on weather to start watching the anime or not, well here are some of the reasons you need to start watching One Piece. SPOILERS AHEAD
The Characters
Every single character all the way from the big bad Antagonists to the smallest side characters are perfect in their own ways. Every character brings in some sort of emotion. Every Stawhat member has their own interesting personality and as the story progresses we get to see their character development. There are characters that you just can't hate like Tony Tony Chopper and then there are villains who are just straight up EVIL. There are even few characters out there who are relatable and some even give strong messages that fits well even in the real world.
The Story
As we progress more and more, we lean more things which just broadens the plot. Every arc throughout the story has its own theme and is very thought provoking. The story is very well written and even the battles play along very well with it. The story starts off with Monkey D Luffy who wants to become the King of the Pirates and we watch his journey from starting a pirate group from scratch to climbing up among pirates and going face to face with warlords and emperors. Along with this we see the journey of his crewmates and even the development of the world.
World Building
Even Characters contribute so much to the world building aspect. It’s like if a character causes an event now, you could see the effect/ consequence of that action 100 episodes later.
There are so many species and races like minks, fishman, etc. As the journey progresses we learn so much more about them and their history. In many parts, the plot/ history of some arc joins in and lines up with the story of another character. An example of this would be Water 7 and Gol D Rogers Ship
There are so many Who? Why? What? Questions that are still unanswered and as the story progresses these questions keep on increasing.
It has 1000+ Episodes
Many will disagree with this point and its fair as 1000+ episodes is a lot and it requires quite a bit of commitment. But since there are 1000+ episodes there is no end to the entertainment, well at least not yet. Even after catching up to the current episodes, you will still want more.
